Trip Description

For hundreds of years, the lost city of Angkor was itself a legend. Cambodian peasants reported findings which puzzled the French colonialists who arrived in Indochina in the 1860s. The peasants said they had found "temples built by gods or by giants". Their stories were casually dismissed as folktales. Yet some did believe that there was a lost city of a Cambodian empire which had once been powerful and wealthy, but had crumbled many years before. Today, these archaeological wonders draw many explorers. Angkor Wat is without doubt one of the greatest archaeological sites in Southeast Asia and it still awes even the most jaded explorer. The adults will no doubt enjoy the endless stories of the Khmer glory and fabulous bas reliefs on the walls of the temples. For the kids, climbing those steep terraces is fun & challenging. Elephant rides or cycling, tethered ballooning, boating are all activities the younger one can look forward to

Trip Detail

DAY 01: PHNOM PENH ARRIVAL
Upon arrival at Phnom Penh airport, meets and transfer to hotel. Visit to Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, Independence Monument, National Museum and Wat Phnom temples. Lunch and dinner not included. Accommodation at hotel.

DAY 02: PHNOM PENH – SIEM REAP
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Phnom Penh airport for departure to Siem Reap. Upon arrival in Siem Reap airport, transfer direct to ecological site and Angkor - www.luxuryprivatetour.com visit to South Gate of Angkor Thom, the famous Bayon, Baphoun, the Terrace of Temple, Elephants and Terrace of the Leper King. It is time to visit the world wonder of Angkor Wat and sunset from Phnom Bakheng Hill. Dinner not included and accommodation at hotel.

DAY 03: SIEM REAP
Breakfast at the hotel. Continue to the enchanting temple of the Banteay Srei, nearly everyone’s favorite site. The special charm of this temple lies in its compact size, remarkable state of preservation, and the excellence of it decorative carvings. In the afternoon, visit Banteay Samre, Angkor Wat www.LuxuryPrivateTour.com one of the most complete complexes at Angkor due to the "anastylosis" restoration method being used. Lunch not included. We start to visit the beginning of Angkor period of Rolous group: Preah Kor, Bakong and Lo Lei temple. Dinner not included and accommodation at hotel.

DAY 04: SIEM REAP
Breakfast at the hotel. We continue to visit the fabulous Ta Prohm embraced by the roots of enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers, Pre Rup, East Mebon, Neak Poan. Lunch not included. Visit Krovan, Royal Bath of Srah Srang and Banteay Angkor www.LuxuryPrivateTour.com Kdei temples. Dinner not included and accommodation at hotel.

DAY 05: SIEM REAP – DEPARTURE
Breakfast at the hotel. We board on boat in Tonle Sap Lake. Here, enjoy a brief cruise past floating villages complete with schools, restaurants, and hospitals. Free leisure for your own time for rolling at local market for shopping until transfer to Siem Reap International airport departure flight.
