Day 01: Arrival in Yangon
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by your tour guide and taken to The Strand, a historical property built in 1901 and oozing with colonial charm. Travel in style aboard a restored wooden bus through the streets of Yangon on an afternoon of sightseeing. Revel in the impressive colonial and spiritual heritage in Yangon's city center before catching the magnificent sunset over the gilded dome of the renowned Shwedagon Pagoda. Overnight at The Strand Hotel in Yangon.
Day 02: Yangon - Heho - Inle Lake (B)
Today you will fly to Heho and enjoy a scenic drive and boat ride to Inle Princess Resort Hotel besides Inle Lake. Spend a tranquil afternoon in Inle Lake, home to the Intha fishermen famed for their unique one legged-rowing styles and the Nga Hpe Chaung Monastery, a simple wooden temple perched by the lake famous for their jumping cats. A scrumptious dinner on the private terrace of the Inle Princess Resort Hotel follows. Overnight at Inle Princess Resort Hotel in Inle Lake.
Day 03: Inle Lake - In Dein (B,L,D)
Cruise along a small canal leading to the Paoh village of In Dein. A leisurely walk through the village will bring you to the beautiful Alaung Sitthou with its vegetation-covered stupas that overlooks the breathtaking Inle Lake. Lunch the local way with a family to taste traditional Intha cuisine in the village of Nampan. Enjoy the afternoon with an option for a relaxing spa treatment followed by a delightful wine tasting experience in the Inle Princess Resort. Overnight at Inle Princess Resort Hotel in Inle Lake.
Day 04: Inle - Heho - Bagan (B)
In the morning, explore the charming town of Nyaung Shwe. With its many quiet laneways and numerous monasteries, a stroll around Nyaung Shwe gives you a taste of the tranquil rhythms of rural Burmese towns. Make your way back to Heho for the flight to Bagan and transfer to your riverside hotel to relax and enjoy the magical setting. Overnight at Thiripyitsaya Sakura Resort in Bagan.
Day 05: Bagan (B)
Start the morning with a visit to the vibrant Nyaung Oo Market. Discover the resplendence of Bagan's history with visits to archeological treasures such as the Shwezigon Pagoda with its impressive bell-shaped stupa, the Wetkyi-In Gubyaukgyi cave temple with its exquisite jatakas murals paintings and the elegant Htilominlo Temple famed for its fined plaster carvings and glazed sandstone decorations. In the afternoon, observe skilled craftsmen as they demonstrate to you the ancient technique of lacquering. Relax and sip some cocktail as you gently cruise along Irrawaddy River in the evening sun. Overnight at Thiripyitsaya Sakura Resort in Bagan.
Day 06: Bagan - Yangon (B,D)
You will visit Ananda Okkyaung, an architectural masterpiece and one of the few surviving brick monasteries from the early Bagan period. Starting at Ananda, a horse carriage tour among the temples will then bring you to Thatbyinnyu, the highest temple in Bagan and the colossal Dhammayangyi Temple celebrated for its remarkable brickwork and Sulamani. In the afternoon, you will fly back to Yangon followed by a farewell dinner by Exotissimo at Le Planteur Restaurant. Overnight at The Governor's Residence in Yangon.
Day 07: Departure from Yangon (B)
Rummage for interesting finds in the popular Bogyoke Market (formerly known as Scott Market), which is also famed for its colonial architecture and inner cobblestone streets. Spend the rest of day at your own leisure before transferring to the airport for onwards departure flight.
