Traffic is made up of a staggering number of motorbikes, but you might want to ride on a cyclo. A cyclo is akin to a reverse tricycle with the passenger sitting in a front seat and offers a great way to experience the excitement of the city. Ho Chi Minh City is a forward looking city and is a driving force to Vietnam’s economic boom. The streets are swarming with sidewalk cafes, acupuncture clinics and ancient pagodas. Ho Chi Minh invites you to sample everything to heal your tourism woes and renew your spirit in its vibrancy.
Ho Chi Minh City’s Highlights:
Cu Chi Tunnels:This system of tunnels was used to help the Cu Chi people defeat their enemies in war. You will be fascinated to see how so many Vietnamese lived in such close quarters. It is truly a military tour de force.
Cho Ben Thanh Market:This vibrant market is filled to the rafters with stores selling delicious Vietnamese food, jewels, clothing, pottery and souvenirs.
Reunification Palace: This is a restored five-floor time warp to the 60’s left largely untouched from the day before Saigon fell. This historic account offers a very graphic and inclined perspective on the Vietnam War.
Dam Sen Water Park: This fun park is often considered as the only green getaway in Ho Chi Minh City. The park is full of water activities and beautiful gardens.
Notre Dame Cathedral: The architecturally pleasing Cathedral is located in Paris Square. Mass is held on Sundays partly in English.
